Gladewater really took it to White Oak for the full four quarters, racking up a 66-39 victory at home. With Gladewater ahead 36-14 at the half, the match was all but over already.
Despite the defeat, White Oak saw an underclassman step up: Lauryn Rosado scored 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Graycen Sipes, who scored five points along with nine rebounds and three steals.
Gladewater's win was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-12. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.4 points per game. As for White Oak, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost six of their last seven matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-14 record this season.
Gladewater will take on Daingerfield at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Daingerfield is coming into the contest on a five-game losing streak. As for White Oak, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Sabine at 6:15 p.m. Sabine and White Oak are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads.
