Meanwhile, North Thurston made easy work of Lincoln on Tuesday and carried off a 19-2 win. The Rams might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five contests by six runs or more this season.
Syriahs Trolson made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out seven batters over five innings while giving up just two earned runs off one hit. Trolson was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one double.
In other batting news, Isabella Haagen was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles. Those two doubles gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Sara Halterman, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.
North Thurston kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They are 4-2 when they post 11 or more hits.
North Thurston's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-7. As for Lakes, their loss dropped their record down to 1-10.
Lakes suffered a grim 19-3 defeat to North Thurston when the teams last played back in March. Can the Lancers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
