The Lake Havasu Knights will face off against the Youngker Roughriders at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Lake Havasu is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 34.7  points per game  this season.
Lake Havasu is probably headed into the  game with a chip on their shoulder considering Deer Valley just ended the team's  four-game winning streak  on Friday. They were just a  hair shy of victory  and fell  24-23 to the Skyhawks. The Knights gained 165 more yards on the day, but it was the Skyhawks that made the best use of them.
 Despite their  loss, Lake Havasu saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays.  Luke Johnson, who rushed for 115 yards and two  touchdowns on only 15 carries, was perhaps the best of all. Johnson got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 61 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of  Carter Devett, who picked up 133 receiving yards and one  score.
Meanwhile, Youngker's game  on Friday was all tied up 14-14 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell  26-14 to Buckeye. The  matchup marked the Roughriders' lowest-scoring  contest so far this season.
 Lake Havasu will have to contain  Jeremiah Garcia as he made an impact in Youngker's last game. He rushed for 98 yards and a pair of  TDs, and also threw for 145 yards  on eight of 22 attempts. A healthy portion of  Garcia's aerial production (89 yards to be exact)  went to  Jonas Phillips.
 Lake Havasu's defeat dropped their record down to 5-2. As for Youngker, their  loss was their first of the  season and  makes their record 6-1.
 Everything came up roses for Lake Havasu against Youngker when the teams last played  back in September of 2024, as the  team secured  a  28-0 victory. Do  the Knights have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Roughriders turn the tables on them?  We'll have the answer soon enough.
