The Liguori Academy Falcons's road trip will continue as they head out to face High School of the Future at 3:15 p.m. on February 2nd.
Last Thursday, Liguori Academy was beaten by the Cavaliers 61-26. While losing is never fun, Liguori Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 663rd, while the Cavaliers are ranked 310th).
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Divine Scott-Allen, who scored ten points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season.
Meanwhile, High School of the Future waltzed into their game on Thursday with two straight wins but they left with three. They strolled past Strawberry Mansion with points to spare, taking the game 73-58. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
High School of the Future's success was spearheaded by the efforts of G Banks, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten assists, and A Jeune, who scored 36 points along with seven assists and three steals. Banks is crushing the steal category: he's posted at least three every time he's taken the court this season. N Reddy was another key contributor, scoring five points.
Liguori Academy has not been sharp recently as the team's lost seven of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season. As for High School of the Future, their win bumped their record up to 10-6.
