Softball Recap: Havre De Grace Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

Havre de Grace waltzed into their game on Thursday with three straight wins... but they left with four. Everything went their way against the Edgewood Rams as they made off with a 15-5 victory. The Warriors might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matches by ten runs or more this season.

Havre de Grace got a massive performance out of Sarah Weitzel, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Weitzel also hit a double, marking her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Taylor Martinovich, who scored two runs while going 3-for-4.

Havre de Grace was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .552. They are a perfect 6-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Havre de Grace pushed their record up to 8-3 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Admittedly, the team didn't face the toughest opposition across those games, namely Edgewood, North Harford, and North Harford. As for the Rams, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-10.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Havre de Grace will host Harford Tech at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. The Warriors' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Cobras have averaged an impressive 6.8 runs per game this season. As for Edgewood, they will look to defend their home field on Monday against North Harford at 3:30 p.m.
