The St. Andrew's Lions scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. Everything went their way against The Habersham School as St. Andrew's made off with a 59-34 victory. The win was a breath of fresh air for St. Andrew's as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead St. Andrew's to victory, but perhaps none more so than Coco Carnahan, who scored 11 points along with nine rebounds. Carnahan continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Grace Dare was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
The Habersham School lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Brownette Olson, who scored eight points. The team also got some help courtesy of Anna Cadle, who scored six points.
St. Andrew's victory ended a six-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-9. As for The Habersham School, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-8 record this season.
St. Andrew's homestand continues as they prepare to take on Islands at 6:00 p.m. on January 10th. Islands is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses. As for The Habersham School, they will head out on the road to face off against Heritage Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
