AA Region III recap Sept. 26, 2012
Fairfield Central led AA Region III in scoring this week after putting up 42 points on Cheraw.
North Central's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Grayson King threw for 101 yards and Austin Furman had 56 yards receiving. On the ground Tristan McCathern chipped in 95 yards. Anthony Spinelli helped North Central's passing attack out by catching three balls for 46 yards.
North Central's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Knights feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. King has thrown for 782 yards and six touchdowns this season, while Spinelli has 16 catches for 360 yards. McCathern leads the league in rushing with 494 yards.
The top two teams in the league will face off this week when first place North Central takes on second place Keenan. The Knights fell to Jackson last week, while Keenan.
There should be lots of points scored when North Central and the Raiders face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, Louis Clyburn's team comes in having scored 169 this season, while Keenan has scored 96. The Knights scored 6 points last week as they lost to the Volunteers.
