On Friday, The Westminster Christian Academy Lions faced the Windsor Academy Knights in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Westminster Christian Academy was beaten by Windsor Academy 51-6. Westminster Christian Academy lost against Windsor Academy in their previous head to head back in August of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 18-0 score last time.
It was another big night for Jay Singleton, who rushed for 212 yards and three touchdowns on only 14 carries. Singleton's longest rush was for an incredible 71 yards. Reed Barr did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 91 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Westminster Christian Academy's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 4-6. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 11.3 points per game. As for Windsor Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-2 record this season.
Westminster Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Windsor Academy will take on Holy Spirit Prep at TBD on Friday. Holy Spirit Prep is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
