He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.
In other batting news, Myles Cobb and Daniel Hare did most of the damage at the plate: Cobb scored a run while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances, while Hare scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.
Meanwhile, it may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Manteo ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They won by a run and slipped past Fredericksburg Christian 12-11. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Redskins have posted since April 9, 2024.
Austin Godfrey was a standout: he scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-5. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Jack Woodson, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances.

Tuesday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Holmes hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .357. However, it's not like Manteo struggles in that department as they've averaged .336. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
