In other batting news, Margaret Jenkins and Kirsten Aldridge did most of the damage at the plate: Jenkins scored two runs and stole three bases while getting on base in three of her five plate appearances, while Aldridge scored a run and stole two bases while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances. Bailee Ellis was another key player, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 2-for-5.
Lake Region's victory bumped their record up to 15-2. As for George Jenkins, their win bumped their record up to 9-6.
Friday's match will be a test for both teams' pitchers. George Jenkins hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .324.
