Dixie extended their home winning streak to six games thanks to a huge performance from MJ Mauinatu. The Flyers narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Hurricane Tigers 3-2 thanks in part to Mauinatu, who had ten digs, two aces, and one block. She is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 13 or more in each of the last 13 games she's played.

Dixie had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 18-25, 17-25, 25-18, 25-20, 15-7.

Dixie's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jaselle Mills led the charge by getting 19 digs and one assist. That's the most digs Mills has posted since back in August.

Dixie was lethal from the service line and finished the game with ten aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least seven aces in six consecutive contests.

Dixie's victory bumped their record up to 14-8. As for Hurricane, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-12.

Coincidentally, Dixie and Hurricane will both be playing Snow Canyon the next time they take the court. The Flyers will head out to face the Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Tigers will host them at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
