Foothill is 0-4 against Desert Oasis since March of 2019 but things could change on Monday. The Falcons are taking a road trip to take on the Diamondbacks at 3:30 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
As a matter of fact, Foothill put up the most runs they have all season on Friday. They never let Las Vegas get on the board and left with a 15-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Falcons in their matchups with the Wildcats: they've now won three in a row.

Leah Henderson made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). She has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-1. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in RBI (two).
In other batting news, Foothill let Ashlyn Morales and Jazzy Hall run wild. Morales went a perfect 1-for-1 with one triple, two RBI, and one run, while Hall scored a run while going 2-for-3. What's more, Hall posted two RBI, the most she's had since back in May of 2024. Selena Jose also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.
Foothill always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .567. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Meanwhile, Desert Oasis got the win against Mojave on Friday by a conclusive 17-0. The Diamondbacks might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three games by 11 runs or more this season.
Brianna Bartok made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Bartok was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 2-for-2.
In other batting news, Vida Torres was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two triples, four RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Veyda Simon, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and three RBI.
Desert Oasis is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 5-3-1 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.8 runs over those games. As for Foothill, their record now sits at 3-8-1.
Monday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Foothill hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .315. However, it's not like Desert Oasis struggles in that department as they've averaged .395. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Foothill might still be hurting after the 11-1 defeat they got from Desert Oasis in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Can the Falcons avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
