The Bishop Walsh Spartans's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Mountain Ridge Miners at 7:00 p.m. on February 2nd. Bishop Walsh will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Maryland Rankings (they are ranked 299th, while the Miners are ranked 138th).
Bishop Walsh pushed their score all the way to 55 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 65-55 hit to the loss column at the hands of Hancock.
Meanwhile, Mountain Ridge didn't have too much trouble with the Blazers on the road on Wednesday as they won 65-46. The win was just what Mountain Ridge needed coming off of a 66-45 loss in their prior matchup.
Bishop Walsh dropped their record down to 1-8 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Mountain Ridge, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a massive bump to their 9-7 record this season.
Everything came up roses for Bishop Walsh against the Miners in their previous meeting back in December of 2018 as the squad secured a 74-20 victory. With Bishop Walsh ahead 47-7 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
