2A Region 7 recap September 17, 2013
Adding to the longest winning streak in 2A Region 7 this week, Bassfield beat Collins 28-12,. The win marks fourth in a row for the the Yellowjackets.
Enterprise lost to Leake County 52-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Trodrick Daniels provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Bassfield topped the Tigers.
Tra Darren Cook was the best wideout in the league this week as the Yellowjackets defeated Collins.
Daniels was the best running back in the league this week. In 18 carries, he ran for 125 yards as Bassfield topped the Tigers. Greg Green also contributed to the rushing game with 60 yards on the ground.
Jonah King put up the best numbers through the air as West Lincoln lost to St. Patrick. He had a total of 3 completions for 45 yards. King's favorite target this week was Ty Forman, who caught 2 passes for 20 yards.
On the heels of Johnathan Abram and Jaylin Akins, East Marion has had great success on offense. Abram leads the league in passing with 268 yards, while Akins has rushed for 486 yards this season. Tops in the league in receving yards is the Yellowjackets' Kameron Williams, with 139 yards on 7 catches.
