It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but the Roosevelt Roughriders ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They secured a 60-56 W over Lakeside. Despite the win, that was the fewest points Roosevelt has scored all season.
Roosevelt got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Anthony Washington out in front who scored 15 points. The match was Washington's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Caden Young, who scored 12 points.
The win for Roosevelt keeps them at an undefeated 7-0. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.4 points per game. As for Lakeside, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4.
Roosevelt will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on San Marin at 5:00 p.m. on December 26th. Lakeside will take on The Meadows School in a holiday battle at 6:00 p.m. on Monday at. The Meadows School is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 59.6 points per game.
