The Guernsey-Sunrise Vikings lost against the Lingle-Fort Laramie Doggers back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Guernsey-Sunrise had to suffer through a rough 63-13 loss at the hands of Lingle-Fort Laramie. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Guernsey-Sunrise has scored all season.
Brady Cook was his usual excellent self, almost dropping a double-double on 18 points and nine rebounds for Lingle-Fort Laramie. Cook has been hot recently, having posted two or more blocks the last five times he's played. Another player making a difference was Brody Roberts, who scored 12 points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
Guernsey-Sunrise dropped their record down to 6-7 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Lingle-Fort Laramie, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 16-4.
Guernsey-Sunrise will be playing at home against Southeast at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Wyoming (Southeast is ranked 43rd, while Guernsey-Sunrise is ranked 54th). As for Lingle-Fort Laramie, they will head out on the road to face off against Burns at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Lingle-Fort Laramie is facing Burns at the right time seeing as Burns is stuck on a 20-game losing streak.
