This season hasn't been kind to the East Orange Campus Jaguars, who are still winless after their fourth contest. Their tough 49-28 defeat to Central on Thursday might stick with them for a while. While losing is never fun, East Orange Campus can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 383rd, while Central is ranked 90th).
Faith Fedd-Robinson was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 31 points and 12 rebounds for Central. The game was Fedd-Robinson's eighth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Sage Reed, who scored 14 points along with seven assists.
East Orange Campus bumped their record down to 0-4 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 23.5 points per game. As for Central, they now have a winning record of 6-5.
East Orange Campus will head out on the road to face off against Montclair Kimberley Academy at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Central, they will be playing in front of their home fans against East Side at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
