The Trinity Christian Academy Conquerors and the Palatka Panthers will face off at 6:00 p.m. on January 25th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Trinity Christian Academy comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 23 points in their last five games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
Trinity Christian Academy suffered their biggest loss since December 7, 2023 on Tuesday. They took a serious blow against Providence School, falling 69-17. Trinity Christian Academy has not had much luck with Providence School recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
Meanwhile, Palatka suffered a tough 54-33 defeat at the hands of Menendez on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, Palatka can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 275th, while Menendez is ranked 122nd).
Trinity Christian Academy's loss was their tenth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-16. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 15.7 points per game. As for Palatka, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-8.
Trinity Christian Academy was dealt a bruising 46-16 loss at the hands of Palatka in their previous meeting back in December of 2023. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Palatka's Jhane Fountain, who scored 14 points along with four steals.
