Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Southeast Career Tech blew the Sundevils out of the water with a 57-17 final score. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 43-10.
Southeast Career Tech's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Bianca Vazquez, who scored 26 points along with five rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Morgan Sweet, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 12 rebounds.
Despite the loss, Eldorado still got an impressive performance from Sara Torrico Lopez, who scored nine points. That was a full 52.9% of Eldorado's points, marking the fourth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
The win makes it two in a row for Southeast Career Tech and bumps their season record up to 9-13. As for Eldorado, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-12.
Southeast Career Tech will be playing in front of their home fans against the Archers at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Amplus Academy is no doubt hoping to put an end to a six-game streak of away losses. As for Eldorado, they will head out on the road to challenge the Lions at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Somerset Academy Losee's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three games.
