On Thursday, Mission Oak was able to grind out a solid victory over Strathmore, taking the game 58-49. The win made it back-to-back wins for Mission Oak.
Mission Oak got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Anthony Jackson out in front who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 13 rebounds. The contest was Jackson 's third in a row with at least ten points. Daniel Gonzalez was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with three steals.
Mission Oak's win bumped their record up to 5-7. As for Strathmore, they bumped their record down to 5-6 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mission Oak will play host again and welcome Shafter, where tip off is scheduled for 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Shafter is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 55 points per game. Strathmore will finish 2023 at home by hosting Yosemite at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
