The North Hardin Trojans were the 45-16 winner over the Daviess County Panthers when they last played one another back in September, but their luck changed this time around. North Hardin fell just short of Daviess County by a score of 24-21. North Hardin has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
The critical scores for Daviess County came from Russ Crowe and Jackson Lee.
One reason for the win was Daviess County's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for three sacks. Leading the way was Gillam Nicodemus and his two sacks.
North Hardin's loss dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Daviess County, their victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-6.
North Hardin does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Daviess County will head out on the road to face off against Central Hardin at 8:00 p.m. on Friday.
