OAK GROVE, Mo. - After trading leads two times,
Oak Grove (Mo.) snatched the lead for good when
Aaron Graham ran for a touchdown in the second quarter, paving the way for victory over
Harrisonville (Mo.) 40-21.
After taking the lead on a touchdown run by Graham in the second quarter, the Panthers were up 19-13 at the half.
Oak Grove expanded its lead to 20 points entering the fourth quarter. OG scored two times in the third, including once on an
Ethan Fugitt touchdown run.
When the two teams played each other last season, the Panthers came away with a 21-14 victory.
The loss comes after Harrisonville defeated Grain Valley 31-25 last week. The win was a nice bounce back for Oak Grove, which lost to Pleasant Hill last week, 26-22. The loss broke Harrisonville's three-game winning streak.
Oak Grove (6-1) goes up against Grain Valley in a Missouri River Valley - West game matchup next week, while Harrisonville (5-2) locks horns with Odessa also in a Missouri River Valley - West game.
