She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  given up  more than one  walk in six consecutive appearances. She was even better at the plate,  scoring two  runs and  stealing a base while going 3-for-4.
 In other batting news,  Samantha Hayes made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and  went 1-for-4 with three  RBI and one  double. That  double was  her first of the season.
 Meanwhile, South Beauregard fought the good fight in their extra-innings  game against Merryville  on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Panthers by a score of  5-4. The Knights' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.
 Kinder's defeat dropped their record down to 15-3. As for South Beauregard, their loss dropped their record down to 13-11.
 Everything went Kinder's way against South Beauregard in their previous meeting  back in March of 2024, as Kinder made off with  a  12-2 victory. Will the Yellowjackets repeat their success,  or do  the Knights have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
