The South River Rams suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Monday. They were beaten by Timothy Christian 76-44. If South River hoped to take revenge for the 73-58 loss against they when the teams met, then they were left disappointed.
Despite the loss, South River still got an impressive performance from Alex Grospe, who scored 33 points along with six steals. That was a full 75% of South River's points, marking the sixth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points.
South River's defeat dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Timothy Christian, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-4.
South River will be playing in front of their home fans against Middlesex at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in New Jersey (Middlesex is ranked 284th, while South River is ranked 308th). Timothy Christian on the road again on Friday and play against Spotswood at 6:30 p.m. on January 26th.
