Gar-Field is 0-10 against Potomac Senior since January of 2020 but things could change on Tuesday. The Gar-Field Red Wolves will be playing in front of their home fans against the Potomac Senior Panthers at 7:30 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Potomac Senior is hoping to do what Colonial Forge couldn't on Saturday: put an end to Gar-Field's winning streak, which now stands at three games. Gar-Field snuck past Colonial Forge with a 65-61 victory.

Gar-Field found their leader in sophomore Jonathan Jason Bell, who went 9 of 17 on his way to 25 points and four steals. Bell's afternoon made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Elijhah Walden, who posted eight points and three steals.
Potomac Senior has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They opened the new year with a less-than-successful 68-58 defeat to Peninsula Catholic.
Gar-Field will have to keep a close watch on Yusef Navins and Amani Asare, a pair of players who had a big impact on Potomac Senior's prior game. Navins went 8 of 16 on his way to 21 points and seven rebounds, while Asare went 8 of 16 on his way to 20 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Damien Grundy, who had six points.
Gar-Field has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.8 points per game. As for Potomac Senior, their loss dropped their record down to 7-4.
Some high-performance offense is likely on the agenda as Gar-Field and Potomac Senior are some of the highest scoring teams in the league. Gar-Field hasn't had any problem running up the score this season, having averaged 57.7 points per game. However, it's not like Potomac Senior struggles in that department as they've been averaging 62.5 points. With both teams so easily able to put up points, the only question left is who can run the score up higher.
Gar-Field came up short against Potomac Senior in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, falling 62-50. Can Gar-Field avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
