Dos Pueblos hasn't had much luck against Camarillo recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Dos Pueblos Chargers will host the Camarillo Scorpions at 3:30 p.m. The two teams are strolling into their contests after big wins in their previous games.
Having struggled with six defeats in a row, Dos Pueblos turned things around against Pacifica on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Tritons with a sharp 13-2 victory.

Kaitlyn Ashby made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She pitched five innings while giving up just two earned runs off six hits. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in strikeouts (five). She was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. That home run was her first of the season.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Anastasia Brunner, who scored two runs while going 3-for-4. Zella Cassidy was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4.
Dos Pueblos always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .600. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in three consecutive matches.
Meanwhile, everything went Camarillo's way against El Camino Real on Monday as Camarillo made off with an 8-1 win. The victory continues a trend for the Scorpions in their matchups with the Royals: they've now won three in a row.
Camarillo got a massive performance out of Belle Sotelo, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and two runs. Another player making a difference was Alexa Gomez, who went 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.
Camarillo pushed their record up to 6-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.0 runs over those games. As for Dos Pueblos, their victory bumped their record up to 2-6.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Wednesday. Dos Pueblos hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.5 home runs per game. However, it's not like Camarillo struggles in that department as they've been averaging 2 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
Dos Pueblos might still be hurting after the 10-0 loss they got from Camarillo in their previous meeting back in March of 2020. Can Dos Pueblos avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
