The Southern Wells Raiders''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their ninth straight loss. They received a tough blow as they fell 20-6 to North Miami. Southern Wells was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as North Miami apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2014.
North Miami found their leader in underclassman Lake Musall, who rushed for 156 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 8.2 yards per carry.
Southern Wells' loss was their tenth straight at home (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 1-9. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 10-0 Adams Central and 9-1 Heritage (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 55.1% over those games). As for North Miami, their win bumped their record up to 2-8.
Southern Wells does not have any more games scheduled as of now. North Miami will be playing at home against Madison-Grant at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
