Draper APA has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will face off against the Freedom Prep Academy Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully Draper APA focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 on Monday.
Last Monday, Draper APA really took it to Utah Military Academy - Camp Williams for the full four quarters, racking up a 69-37 victory at home.
Draper APA's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Carter Vijayaraghavan led the charge by scoring 9 points along with 18 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Max Jacobsen, who scored 13 points.
Meanwhile, Freedom Prep Academy took a serious blow against American Leadership Academy last Tuesday, falling 73-34.
Freedom Prep Academy's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Carter Henricksen, who scored 11 points, and Wyatt Leigh who scored 10 points. Henricksen scored a full 32.4% of Freedom Prep Academy's points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Draper APA's victory bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Freedom Prep Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.
Some high-performance offense is likely on the agenda as the pair are some of the highest scoring teams in the league. Draper APA hasn't had any problem running up the score this season, having only averaged 56.8 points per game. However, it's not like Freedom Prep Academy struggles in that department as they've been averaging 52.5 per game.
