The Sunset Bison can now show off 12 landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Friday. They blew past Jefferson 41-17. Winning may never get old, but Sunset sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.
Sunset found their leader in underclassman Leah Ybarra, who scored 21 points along with six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Yanet Lemus, who scored ten points along with five rebounds.
Sunset has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 17-9 record this season. As for Jefferson, they are on a 16-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-17.
Sunset will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against South Oak Cliff at 7:30 p.m. South Oak Cliff will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Sunset surely won't give up without a fight. As for Jefferson, they will head out on the road to square off against Hillcrest at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing is sure in Hillcrest's favor as the team sits on four straight wins at home while Jefferson has been banged up by seven consecutive losses on the road.
