The Versailles Tigers will challenge the Greeneview Rams at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Versailles will be looking to extend their current 13-game winning streak.
Versailles' pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They put the hurt on Milton-Union with a sharp 9-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Tigers, who have now won 14 games by six runs or more so far this season.

Chase Monnin made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out 16 over seven innings pitched. Those 16 strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jace Watren, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Sam Deland, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and one double.
Greeneview came out on top against Dayton Christian on Saturday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run fifth inning. The Rams took their contest against the WARRIORS 7-3.
Like Versailles, Greeneview also got a great game from a two-way player: Nick Hassid. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched. Hassid was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Trevor Moore was excellent, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with one run and one double.
Greeneview has been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.8 runs over those games. As for Versailles, their win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 21-4.
Tuesday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Versailles has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .433. However, it's not like Greeneview struggles in that department as they've averaged .473. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Versailles skirted past Greeneview 3-2 when the teams last played back in May of 2019. Will the Tigers repeat their success, or do the Rams have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
