After a string of four wins, the Carroll Eagles's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They took a 70-53 bruising from Charles Henderson. Carroll has not had much luck with Charles Henderson recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Carroll's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Devon Pruitt, who scored 12 points along with eight rebounds. Pruitt is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Michael Culver, who scored 14 points along with five rebounds.
Carroll's defeat dropped their record down to 20-7. As for Charles Henderson, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 19-10 record this season.
Carroll will head out on the road to face off against Vigor at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Vigor is coming into the contest with three straight wins at home, meaning Carroll will have to defend against a squad hungry for a win. Charles Henderson does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
