Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a  season-high score is even better (just ask Fredonia). They came out on top against the Rough Rock Sun Devils by a score of  54-43  on Friday. The  win was some much needed relief for the Lynx as it spelled an end to their 11-game losing streak.
Fredonia's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Isaac Sample, who  went 8 for 17  en route to 17  points along with seven  rebounds and five  assists. Those 17 points gave  Sample a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of  Paul Woods, who  went 8 of 14  on his way to 17  points in addition to eight  boards and five  assists.
 Sample wasn't the only one working in the  assists department: Fredonia was working as a unit and  finished the game with 11  assists. That's the most  assists they've managed all season.
Fredonia's  win was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-5 and their overall record up to 3-16. As for Rough Rock,  this is the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 2-17.
 Fredonia will face off against Red Mesa at 7:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Fredonia has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. Rough Rock has already played their next matchup,  a  76-42  defeat against St. Michael on the 25th.
