The Henrietta Bearcats's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their sixth straight loss. They received a tough blow as they fell 69-50 to Jacksboro. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Henrietta in their matchups with Jacksboro: they've now lost three in a row.
Jacksboro found their leader in underclassman Brayden Rockey, who scored 11 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Cannon Valenzuela, who scored ten points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
Henrietta's defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 5-14. As for Jacksboro, their victory bumped their record up to 8-9.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Henrietta will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Gunter at 7:30 p.m. on January 19th. As for Jacksboro, they will challenge City View at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. City View presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Jacksboro in Texas (City View is ranked 317th, while Jacksboro is ranked 946th).
