Basketball Recap: Westview Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Westview had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 22 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They came within six points of losing the streak, but they secured a 65-59 W against the West Creek Coyote. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Chargers' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 227th, while the Coyote are ranked 45th).

The win got Westview back to even at 5-5. As for West Creek, the defeat snapped their winning streak at seven games and leaves them with a 8-3 record.

Coincidentally, Westview and West Creek will both be playing Ridgeway the next time they take the court. The Chargers will host the Roadrunners at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, while the Coyote will head out to face them at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
