The Whale Branch Warriors won the last time they faced the Edisto Cougars, and things went their way on Friday too. Whale Branch took down Edisto 49-30. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Whale Branch.
It was another big night for Bradford Thompson, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds. He set a new season high mark in steals with five. The team also got some help courtesy of Greggory Gilbert, who scored 14 points along with eight rebounds.
Whale Branch now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Edisto, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost six of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-8 record this season.
Whale Branch will take on Allendale-Fairfax at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Edisto, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Swansea at 7:30 p.m. Swansea is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
