The Plain Dealing Lions are taking a road trip to face off against the Caddo Magnet Mustangs at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Plain Dealing has four straight wins, Caddo Magnet has four straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
On Tuesday, Plain Dealing made easy work of Green Oaks and carried off a 17-1 victory. The Lions might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine contests by eight runs or more this season.
McKenna Fisk made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. That double marked the first that she has hit this season.
In other pitching news, Alainah Brooks looked comfortable as she pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits.
