After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Ansonia, Newton Local was happy to have turned things around on Friday. Everything went their way against the Twin Valley South Panthers as they made off with an 11-4 win. The result was nothing new for the Indians, who have now won five matches by six runs or more so far this season.

Newton Local is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.3 runs over those games. As for Twin Valley South, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Newton Local will host National Trail at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Twin Valley South, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Madison at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Mohawks will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Panthers surely won't give up without a fight.
