Randolph played a tough  game  on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They had to suffer through  a    49-21 loss at the hands of the Marion Bulldogs. The Ro-Hawks lost against the Bulldogs in their previous head to head  back in October of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the  35-28 score last time.
 Leading Marion to victory were  Kade Pape and  Tanner Otis.  Pape threw for 266 yards and four  TDs while picking up 11.1 yards per attempt, while  Otis gained 188 total yards and three touchdowns. Pape is  on a roll when it comes to  passing touchdowns, as he's  now  passed for three or more in each of the last six games he's  played. A healthy portion of  Pape's aerial production (81 yards to be exact)  went to  Jack Wells, who also brought in a  receiving touchdown.
This is the second loss in a row for Randolph and  nudges their season record down to 2-5. As for Marion, the  victory was  the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-2.
 Randolph and Marion will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next  matchups. The next time the Ro-Hawks see the field they'll take on Llano  at 7:00  p.m.  on  the 24th. As for Marion, their break will end when they face Ingram Moore  at 7:00  p.m.  on  the 24th.
