Even though they lost, Cary was working as a unit and finished the game with 24 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.
It was another big night for Zaelyn White, who shot 6-for-10 from long range and almost dropped a double-double on 34 points and nine assists for Apex. The dominant performance gave White a new career-high in points. Justin Boyle was another key player, going 6 for 10 from beyond the arc en route to 18 points.
Cary has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-10 record this season. As for Apex, the victory snapped their losing streak at six games and leaves them with a 3-14 record.
Cary will head out to square off against Green Level at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Green Level knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four matches -- so hopefully Cary likes a good challenge.
