Despite the loss, Christian Academy of Greater St. Louis saw an underclassman step up: Cole Owens scored 13 points along with five steals. The contest was Owens' fifth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Kaleb Hardy, who scored seven points along with six rebounds and three steals.
