The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for River Valley in their matchups with the Shamrocks: they've now lost four in a row.
Amanda Wiley continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Yuma Catholic, scoring 24 points along with eight rebounds and four steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Wiley has scored at least a third of Yuma Catholic's points. Clarissa Meza was another key contributor, scoring three points along with six assists and three steals.
River Valley dropped their record down to 3-21 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 12.0 points per game. As for Yuma Catholic, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-9 record this season.
River Valley and the Patriots will face off at 2:30 p.m. on February 6th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
