After a string of three wins, Adobe Mountain's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They were the victim of a tough 70-50 defeat at the hands of Southwest Leadership Academy. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat Adobe Mountain has suffered yet this season.
Ayden Gonzales continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Southwest Leadership Academy, scoring 21 points along with seven assists and seven steals. Gonzales has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last seven times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Serious Sykes, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 15 rebounds.
Adobe Mountain's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-3. As for Southwest Leadership Academy, their win was their 15th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-2.
Adobe Mountain will take on Premier at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Premier comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for Southwest Leadership Academy, they will head out on the road to take on Empower College Prep at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
