Meanwhile, Great Oak has not lost a match since January 4th, a trend which continued in their latest game on Thursday. Great Oak and Murrieta Valley ended up with a point apiece after a 2-2 draw.
Vista Murrieta's loss dropped their record down to 13-4-2. As for Great Oak, their draw moved theirs to 12-2-2.
Vista Murrieta skirted past Great Oak 2-1 when the teams last played on January 4th. The rematch might be a little tougher for Vista Murrieta since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
