It was a proper cat-fight when Kenedy duked it out with Yorktown on Thursday. The Lions walked away with an 8-4 victory over the Wildcats. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 12-2 back in March.

Rayden Renya was a standout: he went 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March. Daniel Pena was another key player, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Kenedy's win bumped their record up to 15-8. As for Yorktown, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-12.

Coincidentally, Kenedy and Yorktown will both be playing Skidmore-Tynan the next time they take the field. The Wildcats will head out to face the Bobcats at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Lions will host them at 7:00 p.m. on the 25th.
