Berkeley is on a six-game streak of home wins, while Piedmont is on a three-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. Berkeley will take on Piedmont at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Berkeley will be strutting in after a win while Piedmont will be coming in after a defeat.
Berkeley can now show off 11 landslide victories after their most recent match on Friday. They didn't even let Mt. Eden onto the board and left with a 3-0 win. Three seems to be a good number for Berkeley as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of goals in their previous game.
They were led to victory by the tag-team duo of
Jake Goetting and
Kai Lucas, who scored.
Meanwhile, Piedmont didn't get the result they wanted in their first matchup with Bishop O'Dowd on Friday. They will be looking for a result a little better than the 3-1 defeat they were dealt on Friday when they meet later in the season. The loss put an end to their undefeated start to the season.
Their goal came courtesy of
Harper Mand, which was the first he's scored this season.
