Eastern Alamance proved they can win big last Thursday (they won by six) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 9-8 win over the Williams Bulldogs. The victory was nothing new for the Eagles as they're now sitting on eight straight.
Jarrett Newell was incredible, scoring two runs while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. Rett Page also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.
Eastern Alamance's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-4. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games.
