Abbeville's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Justin Rollinson, who scored 16 points along with eight rebounds and six assists. Another player making a difference was Darius Riley, who scored 21 points along with two steals.
Mid-Carolina suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Tuesday. They were dealt a 62-28 loss at the hands of Newberry. Mid-Carolina has not had much luck with Newberry recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Mid-Carolina's defeat came about despite a quality game from Jacob Clark, who scored six points along with five rebounds.
Abbeville's victory was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-2. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.0 points per game. As for Mid-Carolina, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-10 record this season.
Keep an eye on the arc in Friday's game: Abbeville have made nailing deep shots look easy this year this season, having only averaged 5.1 threes per game. It's a different story for Mid-Carolina, though, as they've been averaging only 4.5 threes per game. Given Abbeville's sizeable advantage in that area, Mid-Carolina will need to find a way to close that gap.
