The losing side was boosted by Marcus Nelson, who scored 15 points along with eight rebounds.
Owings Mills struggled to work together and finished the game with only four assists. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Sparrows Point had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They enjoyed a cozy 51-33 win over Carver A&T on Monday.
Owings Mills' loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Sparrows Point, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.
