The Owings Mills Golden Eagles will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against the Sparrows Point Pointers at 5:30 p.m. Hopefully Owings Mills focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 on Monday.
Last Monday, Owings Mills took a serious blow against Wilde Lake, falling 81-35. Owings Mills was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 38-15.
The losing side was boosted by Marcus Nelson, who scored 15 points along with eight rebounds.
Owings Mills struggled to work together and finished the game with only four assists. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Sparrows Point had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They enjoyed a cozy 51-33 win over Carver A&T on Monday.
Owings Mills' loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Sparrows Point, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.
