The biggest upset of the week belonged to Springfield, who took down 326th ranked Field, 28-14.
Roosevelt extended the longest winning streak in Portage Trail - Metro this week by beating Ravenna, 26-20. The victory was the eighth in a row for the team.
Streetsboro's dynamic duo of Brandon Gency and Devin Rencher proved tough for Crestwood to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Gency threw for 65 yards and two touchdowns and Rencher had 54 yards receiving. Devon Burton helped Streetsboro's passing attack out by catching five balls for 44 yards.
John Kelly made the biggest impact on defense this week as the Rockets fell to the Red Devils. The 5-foot-8 senior recorded one fumble.
Dillon Headrick was the most productive running back in the league this week. In 31 carries, he ran for 283 yards as Coventry fell to Crestwood. Teammate George Jacobs added to the ground attack by rushing for 28 yards.
Roosevelt's Tra'von Chapman and Trei Thomas have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. 6-1 quarterback Chapman has thrown for 2469 yards this season, while Thomas has 58 catches for 991 yards. Dorian Williams from John Arlesic's team leads the league in rushing with 1981 yards.
Thomas of the John Nemec's team's is a few catches away from breaking 1,000 yards for the season. He needs only nine receiving yards in this week's game against Ellet to get there.
The Spartans moved up to 457 from 513 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Portage Trail - Metro. Springfield climbed the ranks as a result of beating the Falcons 28-14.
