Fredericksburg hasn't had much luck against Davenport recently, but that could start to change  on Friday. The Billies will host the Wolves  at 7:00  p.m. Fredericksburg has given up an average of 30  points per game this season, but Friday's  game will give them a chance to turn things around.
On Friday, Fredericksburg ended up a good deal behind Canyon Lake and lost  42-28. The Billies were down  42-21 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
 Despite the  loss, Fredericksburg saw an underclassman step up: sophomore  Kress Mohr threw for 238 yards and two  TDs, and also punched in one  touchdown on the ground.  Austin Greene made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.
Meanwhile, Davenport strolled into their game  on Friday with a perfect  record and they left with the same. They claimed a resounding  57-0 victory over John F. Kennedy. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Wolves' considerable advantage  in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 115th, while the Rockets are ranked 1073rd).
Fredericksburg better keep an eye on  Barrett Fallon. He was instrumental in Davenport's win, rushing for 111 yards and three  scores on only six carries. Fallon is  on a roll when it comes to  rushing touchdowns, as he's  now  punched in two or more in each of the last eight games he's  played dating back to last season. The team also got some help courtesy of  Zayden Garza, who gained 138 total yards and two touchdowns.
 Special teams  played a big role in the game for Davenport, adding 13 points to the final score. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of  Caden Scott, who ran a punt back for a touchdown.
 Fredericksburg's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Davenport, their win bumped their record up to 6-0.
 Fredericksburg lost to Davenport at home  by a decisive  35-17 margin  in their previous matchup  back in October of 2024. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of   Fallon, who rushed for 250 yards and three  touchdowns while picking up 7.4 yards per carry, and also caught one  TD.
